Cory Wallace led the Raider attack, with four hits, including a homer. Chandler Conner had a pair of hits, including a double, and Alex Dockery and Peter Howe added a pair of hits apiece.
Wallace also picked up the win on the mound, going four innings.
The Raiders (8 -8) got off on the right foot in the top of the first, with five runs.
Richmond added four more markers in the third.
The Raider J.V. also won, downing the J.V. Buccaneers, 11-9.
Richmond returns to Southeastern Conference action on Friday night, when the Raiders host Hoke at 7 p.m.
The J.V. Raiders travel to Hoke for a 7 p.m. game.
Men’s Tennis
Richmond 9, Purnell Swett 0
The Richmond Senior men’s tennis team shut out Purnell Swett, 9-0 Tuesday night in a Southeastern Conference meet.
Purnell Swett, which suited up just five players, forfeited at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.
At No. 1 singles, Richmond’s Max Wittek dispatched J. Potts, 6-0, 6-0; at No. 2, Alex Auman defeated A. Jacobs, 6-0, 6-1; at No. 3, Jonathan Thames beat J. Oxenpine, 6-1, 6-1; at No. 4, Andrew Wheeler shut out D. Scott, 6-0, 6-0; and at No. 5, Cameron Page bested N. Sanderson, 6-1, 6-0.
In doubles competition, at No. 1, the Raiders’ Wittek and Auman topped Potts and Jacobs, 8-0; and at No. 2, Thames and Ryan Page bested Oxenpine and Scott, 8-2.
Richmond improved to 7-4 overall on the season (5-2 SEC). The Raiders host Jack Britt in a non-conference meet today at 4 p.m.

Raider Green continued its recent streak of torrid hitting, pounding out 16 hits in a run-rule win over the Patriots.
C.J. James got the win on the mound for Raider Gold. Cody Wilson was 5-for-5 with a double and two homers. Jeremy Smith was also a perfect 5-for-5 at the plate. Mark Thayer was 3-for-5; and Mikey Steele was 2-for-3.
Raider Green hosts Hoke County Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
