TABERNACLE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, will have a Easter Egg Hunt, April 3, 2010. Egg Hunt begins at 10:30 and last till 12:30. There will be games, food, and a special appearance from the Easter Bunny.

FAITH MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 276 Hatcher Road in Rockingham, will host an Easter Egg Hunt from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with games, food, fun and fellowship for children of all ages.

LEE THEE A.M.E.Z. CHURCH is having a musical program on April 3 at 6 p.m. Several musical groups and musicians will perform during the program. For more information, call 895-9078.

STELLY’S TABERNACLE CHURCH will have Choir Day on April 3 at 7 p.m.

PEE DEE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH will hold its monthly breakfast on from 6:30 to 10 a.m. The cost is $4 for buffet.

MT. OLIVE BAPTIST CHURCH, 596 East Washington Street in Rockingham, will hold its Easter Egg Hunt for children 12 and under at 10:30 a.m. A hot dog lunch will be served at 11 a.m.

FAITH TEMPLE HOLINESS CHURCH, is holding a Youth Convention on April 3, and 4th. Service on Friday night will start at 7:30 p.m. The speaker for this night will be Pastor Gould from Lee Thee. Saturday Service will begin at 7:30 p.m.. The speaker will be Pastor; Ben Townsend, from Canden Sunday service will be at 11:30 a.m., the speaker will be Bishop William McLaughn of Faith Temple Holiness Church. Come help lift up the name of Jesus.

ALL SAINTS’ EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 217 Henderson Street, is planning a series of events for Holy Week. Services are as follows: April 3 service will be at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Laurinburg at 7:30 p.m., April 4 Easter Sunday at 9 a.m.

PROVIDENCE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1120 East Washington Street in Rockingham, will have sunrise service at 6 a.m., including baptism of candidates for membership and the Easter program. Rev. Lamont Johnson will deliver the sermon for 11 a.m. service. The annual Easter Egg Hunt will be Easter Monday from noon to 2 p.m.

LOVELY HILLS MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 120 Lincoln Street in Rockingham, will have sunrise service at 6 a.m. The speaker will be one of Lovely Hills Associate Minister Christopher Smith, and breakfast will follow. The public is invited.

THE HEALING CENTER CHURCH will hold Easter Sunrise Service at the Rockingham National Guard Armory at 6 a.m. Regular worship will be held at 11 a.m. Pastor D.M. Mason will preside over the services.

BEAUTIFUL ZION FREE WILL BAPTIST CHURCH, on Mt. Moriah Church Road in Hamlet, will hold Easter Sunrise Service at 6 a.m. with Elder Glenn Bright bringing the message. Breakfast will be served.

ST. STEPHEN’S BAPTIST CHURCH, U.S. 1 South in Rockingham, will hold Easter Sunrise Service at 6 a.m. The guest preacher will be Min. Shirleen Freeman, the first lady of St. Stephen’s Church. The host pastor is Rev. Gregory Freeman. Everyone is invited to attend.

NEW HOPE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, on Highway 74 East in Hamlet, would like to announce that Easter Sunrise Service will be held at 6 a.m. with Mrs. Wanda Cassidy as guest speaker. Regular worship will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Kirkpatrick of Charlotte as guest speaker.

ST. JOHN’S BAPTIST CHURCH, Derby, will hold Easter Sunrise Service at 6 a.m. The speaker will be Min. Emma Ingram, with breakfast to follow. No 11 a.m. worship service will be held. The host pastor is Rev. Mary Lindsey.

FAITH ASSEMBLY OUTREACH MINISTRY, 148 Daniels Street, will hold Easter sunrise service at 6:30 a.m., with breakfast being served afterward. The morning service will be at 9:30 a.m.

FREEDOM BAPTIST CHURCH, U.S. 1 in Rockingham, invites everyone to attend its 2010 Cantata “It Is Finished.” Sunrise service will begin at 6:30 a.m., with breakfast afterward. Cantata worship will be held at 8:45 a.m., with worship service at 11 a.m. The host pastor is Alex Perakis.

NORTHAM CEMETERY EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE, Northam Road in Rockingham, will be held on Easter morning at 6:30 a.m. Rev. Wyatt Coley of Cameronian Presbyterian Church will be preaching the message, with Rev. Mickey Briles of the Beverly Hills Baptist Church and Rev. Michael Griffin of the Pee Dee United Methodist Church assisting him.

MOUNT OLIVE BAPTIST CHURCH, 596 East Washington Street in Rockingham, will hold Easter Sunrise Service at 6:45 a.m. The church will begin a commemorative walk down to the picnic shelter, and after a short service will return for a light breakfast. Sunday school is at 10 a.m., and Sunday morning worship service is at 11 a.m.

ROBERDEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 1302 Roberdel Road, will hold Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

THE CHURCH OF GOD OF PROPHECY, 609 Cheraw Road in Hamlet, will have a sunrise service at 7 a.m., and breakfast will be served after the service. Everyone is welcome to attend.

NEW BEGINNINGS CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES, 679 Wiregrass Road in Hamlet, will hold sunrise service at 7:30 a.m., with breakfast at 8:30. Sunday school will be held at 10 and the worship service at 11.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH IN AMERICA, 217 Midway Road in Rockingham, will have Easter morning Sunday service at 8 a.m., with a breakfast and fellowship to follow. There will be no Sunday school or evening services.

SARON BAPTIST CHURCH, 123 Saron Church Road in Ellerbe, will present an Easter musical “Behold the Lamb,” created by Sue Smith and Russsell Mauldin during 11 a.m. worship.

ST. LUKE NO. 1 FREE WILL BAPTIST CHURCH will hold Easter Service at 11:15 a.m. Sunday school begins at 10 a.m. Please join us for a prayer meeting at 6 p.m. and Bible Study at 6:30 p.m. each Thursday night.

PINEY GROVE CHURCH, Windblow Community in Ellerbe, will host their annual usher anniversary at 3 p.m. The message will be delivered by Rev. Benny Kemp. He will be accompanied by the choir and congregation of Lovely Hill. Piney Grove Ushers look forward to having you worship with them.

OUTREACH FOR JESUS, 440 Battley Dairy Road, Hamlet, will hold a hot dog and barbeque sale on May 21 from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m., will resume Benefit Singing. The Oxendines will be performing a Benefit Singing at 7 p.m. All proceeds from singing and sale will go to Lynn Kiker. Lynn recently underwent a heart transplant.
