Mrs. Eva Lee McDonald Owens, 85, of 610 Pine St., Hamlet, died on Monday, March 29, 2010 at Hospice Haven of Rockingham.

She was born on April 27, 1924 in Laurel Hill, daughter of the late Beulah Elizabeth Gay and William Elmore McDonald.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 4 p.m. at Prayer & Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, 217 Thomas St., Hamlet, with Elder Tommie Legrand. officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family visitation will be held from 3-4 p.m. on Tuesday prior to service at the church.

Public viewing will be held on Monday from 1-7 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Service in Hamlet.

She is survived by her sister, Mabel E. McDonald; two grand-daughters; three great grandchildren.
