U.S. Rep. Larry Kissell recently delivered five medals earned by a Rockingham man during World War II to the deceased soldier's son. Boone’s father, George, earned the American Campaign Medal, the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaing with one bronze star, the World War II Victory Medal, the Sharpshooter Badge with Rifle Bar and the Honorable Service Lapel Button.
