Our president, the great community organizer and chief, certainly looks like he is well on his way to the socialist nirvana he envisions for our country.

He currently is plotting to use an option which is called the nuclear option to ram through the health legislation bill regardless of the fact that most Americans are against this bill. He has allies of course such as Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi who are chomping at the bit trying to control a large part of our economy. Obama has been quoted several times when he was a senator that he was against this option because he felt like it went against what our founding fathers had envisioned. Now he wants government health care so bad he has conveniently forgotten about what he has said in the past.

There are other examples of current senators as well who basically felt the same way. This plan if enacted into law probably will be the last nail in the coffin for the ultimate demise of our country. Please contact Larry Kissell and Kay Hagan and let them know that you are against this type of strong arm activity. Our country may depend on it.

Sorry Dana, I now see the question what have Republicans done to change abortion? Those on the Supreme Court have voted against it at every opportunity They have opposed vehemently the Roe V. Wade ruling. However the Supreme Court always decides and in these cases the abortionists win usually by one vote which happens to be the luberal votes, not conservatives.

Republicans may not have "fixed" the abortion problem, but they don't continually condone it and support it. There is a difference.

Come on Dana....I can't believe that you said

"I believe a woman should have the right to make that choice ONCE and after that, she should have the right to BE FIXED! One time is a mistake, anything more calls for a reversal of her right to breed."

Once, twice, three times...it still is murder no matter what the mistake.

Bonnie, you still failed to answer my questions! If you want to have a conversation about this, you would need to respond when someone asks you a question. Don't be a politician and skirt around the entire question or totally move to another topic.

Just answer the question, Bonnie, what have the republicans done in the last 20 years to put an end to abortion. Contrary to your insane beliefs, I don't agree with abortions. I believe a woman should have the right to make that choice ONCE and after that, she should have the right to BE FIXED! One time is a mistake, anything more calls for a reversal of her right to breed.

Obama has mentioned several plans which would decrease the amount of abortions in this country. Plans which included limited the number of abortions a woman could have. All I've heard from the right about such a bill is NO NO NO NO NO! So, Obama has a plan to decrease the amount of abortions and republicans have????????????

Please, Bonnie, I truly want to hear what your party has done to make good on their promise to end abortion once and for all! Show me the proof I've yet to find.

Hamlet, I care not about your english or punctuation nor mine as a matter of fact. I care about getting my point across.

Dana, I don't have to defend what others do, This has nothing to do with the fact that this health plan was forced on the people against their will.

However the Congressman could produce no proof and the cameras showed him during the event and it did not pick up on anything like that It may have happened or it may not have. If it did, its despicable but that happens on both sides.

And the remark (it's a baby killer), when describing the health plan with the clause on abortion which was still there at the time, was the right thing to do. He was making it known to others who may not have known otherwise.

Dana, if you can't see the dishonesty here, there is nothing more to say on the subject. You are like a parent with a misbehaving child says to the teacher "you are mistaken - my little darling wouldn't do anything bad"

Hamlet It all depends on how the polling question is asked and in what state it is ask. "The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone poll, taken Friday and Saturday nights, shows that 41% of likely voters favor the health care plan. Fifty-four percent are opposed.

Another finding: 26% Strongly Favor the plan and 45% Strongly Oppose it.

Seventy-four percent of Democrats favor the plan, while 87% of Republicans are opposed. As for those not affiliated with either major party, 34% are in favor, and 59% are opposed."

another poll March 9 - gallup poll In U.S., 45% Favor, 48% Oppose Obama Healthcare Plan.

CNN - A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll found that 59 percent of those surveyed opposed the bill, and 39 percent favored it. All of the interviews were conducted before the House voted Sunday night, but the contents of the bill were widely known.

In addition, 56 percent said the bill gives the government too much involvement in health care; 28 percent said it gives the government the proper role and 16 percent said it leaves Washington with an inadequate role.

I don't know where your figures come from.

|
March 23, 2010
New Gallup Pole figures released today on MSNBC & CNN news. 49% of the American People approve of the new health care bill just signed. 40% disapprove.

Bonnie, you are so right, those vile people like Joe Wilson and Neugebaue do show a lack of education and class. So do those folks yelling racial and homophobic slurs at congressmen.

I have followed politics all of my life and I've never seen anything close to this, they were spitting at the congressmen, what in the name of GOD is that all about? These are the type of people you want to put or keep in office?

To answer your questions.....

Do you approve of the bribes, secrecy and underhandedness that it took to get this bill passed?

The deals which were sickening are being tossed out, aka the cornhusker thing... Otherwise, this bill couldn't have been much more transparent. How much more open debate and discussion could we have about the subject? Also, why the double standard with reconciliation? I didn't hear all the outrage when the Republicans were using it.

So, the answer I give you is this.... I don't think we had a lot of secret deals.

Second question...

And more importantly, do you approve government trampling over what the people wanted?

I don't believe the government trampled over the people's will. I believe the lobbyist, some democrats and the republicans did everything in their power to twist the truth about this bill so far you can't even see the truth anymore.

In addition, the polls show the country is split down the middle on this thing. I believe Medicare had more opposition than this, and now we have crazy people walking around with signs that say "Keep big government out of Medicare."

Now could you kindly answer my questions, Bonnie?

I am in complete control Bonnie. My blood pressure is completely under control. Honey it would take a lot more than you have in you to rattle my cage! It was the loud mouth from S.C. who blogged "the war isn't over just one battle lost). Reread your own blog. As for education I do have a college degree (NOT IN ENGLISH)and no I don't waste a lot of time on this or any other blog site. I don't worry about punctuation or English because there are only about three people on this blog site who would have the "smarts" to know if I had used correct English and punctuation or not. DON'T CHANGE THE SUBJECT BONNIE! My blog was addressing the uncouth, rudeness of your Republican cohorts in Federal Buildings, on Federal property, during congressional procedures. And while they were on the Federal payroll. But I guess since you never watch anything but Fox News you missed all of that. It was on ABC,MSNBC,CNN,and CBS news!

Cool down Hamlet before you get a stroke.

I didn't graduate college but I did further my education after graduating from HS. Believe it or not, I got more education than one of your former Democrat presidents, who only had a HS education. Back when I graduated students were better educated. But this was before prayer was taken from us.

Hamlet, keep in mind when a person loses control as you have here, it's because they were not successful in proving their argument. Don't give yourself away like that. You sound as though you are an extremist(fanatic)

In addition, these kinds of insults display a lack of education and a lack of class.

|
March 22, 2010
Lets clear up a few things Bonnie! First of all, you are not the "American People". You are a self centered, poorly educated (even if you do claim some sort of "degree") Republican religious fanatic, a bigot and a hypocrite, who just by chance also happens to be an American!

Educated people do not stand up in Congress and call a fellow congressman BABY KILLER as did Neugebaue (Republican from TX) last night! Educated people do not call the President of the US a lier in the middle of a congressional address as did Wilson (Rep. from S.C.). Educated people do not stand on the steps of Congress and encourage protesters to call their fellow congressmen (or anyone else for that matter) vile names such as Faggots or Niggers as your fellow Republican did yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!! You and your tea party cronies are a disgrace to the republican party, your founding fathers, and every citizen of the U.S.

Christians do not refuse medical help to children nor adults dying of cancer or any other dreaded medical condition. A Christian is one who patterns their life after the teachings of Jesus and this kind of action, which you constantly persist in doing is certainly not the action of a Christian trying to lead a Christian life.

In closing I will say if there is any part of this blog that you do not understand you are (in addition to the other things that I called you) also a MORON!

I directed NO comment to Sauls, unless she's changed her name to Billy. I have no intention of wasting my time or energy there.

Good luck with more insults hurled Bonnie, just for the record I think you're one intelligent, classy lady.

Dana, Hamlet, you are missing the point. America has always been about what the people want.

Two questions: Do you approve of the bribes, secrecy and underhandedness that it took to get this bill passed?

And more importantly, do you approve government trampling over what the people wanted?

We can take comfort in knowing that the war is not over - just one battle lost. A bill that was passed in such a dishonest way can in no way succeed.

|
March 22, 2010
Hamlet is exactly right on this one. When you don't get kicked off your insurance because you get sick, all of you naysayers can thank the Democrats. You can say, thank you, President Obama and Nancy Pelosi.

Opinion... you and the abortion junk is so tired, old, played out, full of it.... etc...

The republicans had complete and total control and they used the power to start wars and take mothers and fathers away from their children. They did NOTHING to END ABORTION. It's truly hard for me to understand how any mass group could continue to believe this total load of bologna.

THEN AGAIN, it's the same group of people who make health care into a Nazi plot. Lying and twisting every aspect of truth into something evil for their own greedy agenda. They are the group of people who would rather see our country collapse than work with the other side who they deem "evil".

HAPPY HEALTH CARE DAY!

|
March 22, 2010
Why is anyone surprised here? It's a Democrat Senate. Democrats could never turn down a bribe, even when it means going against what their own people want. Now let's see if Pelosi, Reid and Obama will fulfill all those promises made to those who took the bribes. Let's just hope Republicans don't jump on that bandwagon when they become the power.
|
March 22, 2010
four cheers for Obama and the democrat party ! Too bad the gutless wonder Kissler, recently elected didn't have the backbone to support him with a pos vote for health care. Better to take a stand for what is Christan and right then what is wrong! Don't think the voters are going to forget this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
March 22, 2010
I think Kissell will be toast no matter what. The reason is that all Democrats will have a bad name now and being that Kissell stood against "The Great One" the liberals will have him for lunch.
|
March 22, 2010
Billy:

I was very proud to see that Kissell is a man of his word. He did what he said he would do, and voted NO to this bill.

You're RIGHT, Hagan is History. Perhaps she can go back to teaching Sunday School if she can find a Church that will let her teach about Gods precious gift.....LIFE.

We'll see how it all plays out.
|
March 19, 2010
You are right about Hagan being a yes vote. The main reason she was elected was because of the anti-Bush sentiment of the country at the time. She will be a one term senator for turning her back on what was best not only for North Carolina but our country as well.
