Harrie was born on March 18, 1952 in Montgomery County. He was the son of the late John Harrie Jr. and Frances Harrie, and worked as a truck driver and owner of H&H Income Tax Service.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 18 at Antioch Miracles Temple Church of God in Candor with Elder William B. Townsend officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Harrie is survived by one daughter, Joletta Temekia Forney; two sons, John W. Harrie III and Nad Akeem Abdul Harrie, both of Candor; two sisters, Tabitha Harrie of Mt. Gilead and Frances H. Itegie of Candor; three brothers, Rudolph Harris, Lt. Col. Calvin Harris and Harvey Harris, all of Candor; and three grandchildren.
McLendon Funeral Home of Ellerbe is in charge of arrangements.
