ROCKINGHAM - Barry McGee, the comedian often better known as Harvey Garvey Tater or Johnny Rock, is doing a free show at Rockingham Dragway after completion of time trials for the IHRA Pro Am event, courtesy of local radio station G-104FM.

The show will be on Friday, March 19 at 7pm in the grandstands. Entry into the track will be free after 6pm at the main spectator gates.

Barry McGee has been voted Comedian of the Year for the past three years by the Christian Country Music Association and by Inspirational Country Music.

Not only is he a comedian, McGee is also a talented musician and dramatist.

Anyone who has been privy to a performance can testify that his shows are a unique and highly entertaining treat. McGee is well known on the motorsports scene, serving as a NASCAR Shop Chaplain for Richard Childress Racing and doing ministry alongside Racers for Christ in NHRA and God Speed Ministry in IHRA.

McGee also serves as a roving reporter of Christian Motorsports Illustrated.

McGee has offered to do the show in conjunction with Rockingham Dragway track owner Steve Earwood, God Speed Ministries and WJSG for area families, churches and the community.
