Mr. Clarence Dudley Blue, 73, of Austin Circle, Gibson, formerly of Hamlet, died Thursday, March 11, 2010 in Charleston, S.C.

Mr. Blue was born March 24, 1936, in Dillon , S.C., son of Ernest Lee Blue and Bertha McDowell Blue.

He was previously in insurance sales, before his retirement, attended Stevens Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church in Bennettsville, SC, and was a veteran of the National Guard.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Harrington Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.. At other times the family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, 1251 Academy Road, Bennettsville, S.C.

Funeral Services will be Monday, March 15, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Harrington Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Richmond Memorial Park.

Mr. Blue was preceded in death by his parents; brother, George Blue and a grandchild, Madison Edwards.

Survivors include his daughter, Lynda Blue Edwards of Bennettsville, S.C.; sons, Clarence Mitchell Blue of Gibson, Timothy Wayne Blue of Florence, S.C., and Phillip Scott Blue of Laurinburg; brother, E. F. Blue of Hamlet; sisters, Christine Blue Nolan of Little River, S.C., Dorothy Blue Henry of Rockingham, Sara Evelyn Blue Suggs and Mary Lee Blue Garner both of Hamlet and Carolyn Blue Simmons of Virginia; and seven grandchildren.

Harrington Funeral Home and Crematory of Hamlet is serving the Blue family.
