“No” means “No”

The Obama Administration cannot seem to grasp the meaning of the word “No.”

This administration has an avid appetite for power and control and health care is a good place to begin.

Americans have explained, in no uncertain terms, they oppose a nationalized health plan but the leaders of the current administration just don’t get it.

Contrary to the beliefs of Obama, Pelosi and Reed, Americans know what’s best for them and they have chosen to go with their own coverage. Those on welfare get free medical care and rightly so, but government should leave the rest of us with our own choices.

Government is the only organization that can rob and get away with it. The proposed health care reform will take too much money out of the pockets of those who earn it and give to those who don’t need it and who do not want it. Further it isn’t fair to our children and grandchildren to saddle them with a debt of this magnitude

How many more Democrats will be forced to bail before the Obama administration realizes they can’t get away with ignoring the wishes of the people? In our area, even the President of the Steel Worker’s Union has left the Democrats and joined the Republicans and some Democrats in Washington have either changed parties or have decided not to run again.

Bill boards are beginning to surface in various parts of the nation with a picture of George W. Bush with the words “Miss Me Yet?” The answer by the majority is a loud “yes”

codered - I agree it's useless to argue with me. They can't win. I know my facts and I keep them straight. And if you can find anything untrue then post it. However, if it's true it isn't crazy, its information

Why do you guys continue to argue with this crazy lady?

I need to post statistics according to recent polls: You can check it out

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll on Dec 23, 2009 shows that only 25% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-six percent (46%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21 That’s the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President

At the end of his second term President Bush had a 43% disapproval rating.

Obama has made more people angry in one year than Bush managed to do in eight years. You will never see this on CNN and MSNBC and CBS. You might find fraudulent documents on CBS.

Remember the fabricated Bush NG records? I didn't see much of that on TV.

Hamlet, those who disagree with you are bigots? Well then so are our Founders and our Constitution is just pages of bigotry.

I really don’t have to defend myself against the insults, It doesn’t matter to me - nor does it matter to Palin either She is popular despite them.

You would never know that she had psychiatric help- would you. But if that came CNN or MSNBC. check it out. They are biased and often resort to half-truths and misrepresentations

Example: Soledad O'Brien berated a McCain spokeswoman about how Palin, the mother of a baby with Down's Syndrome, supposedly slashed spending for special needs students: "She's not fighting [on behalf of disabled children, she's cut the budget by 62 percent since she came into office”

Here is the real story from Fatcheck.org "Palin did not cut funding for special needs education in Alaska by 62 percent....In fact, she increased funding and signed a bill that will triple per-pupil funding over three years for special needs students with high-cost requirements."

Liberals tried to destroy palin with false allegations/ The last time I checked she had fought and won 11 fraudulent cases. Man! they hated her and they don't even know why. I'm inclined to believe that instead of hate it was fear that she would try to bring America back to the principles on which the nation was founded.

Dana, thanks to Obama, President Bush is more popular now than he was at the end of his term. In his first year as president, however, his popularity soared, unlike Obama's feckless first year whose popularity has plummeted. Bush is in demand for speeches everywhere Not once in those speeches has he criticized Obama. He has too much class.

The majority of what Bonnie? Are you referring to the majority of bigots, republicans, or just exactly what are you referring to? Maybe Sarah P. will take you over to White Horse with her family when she rides over for her next medical (or mental Health ) visit. That is where she got all of her medical care before she became the governor of Alk. and was nominated by the Republican Party. She said so herself. That was on both CNN and MSNBC.

Bonnie.... said....

"Bill boards are beginning to surface in various parts of the nation with a picture of George W. Bush with the words “Miss Me Yet?” The answer by the majority is a loud “yes”"

Oh my goodness, seriously? Really? The majority of Americans miss Bush? Seriously? Really? And where did you find this morsel of information? I would just LOVE to see the polling on this, really I would! The fact that you miss Bush is an extreme indicator of your sanity.

In addition you said, "Those on welfare get free medical care and rightly so, but government should leave the rest of us with our own choices." So, let me get this straight, people on welfare deserve health care, terrorist in Gitmo deserve health care, and the very rich deserve health care. What about the working man, the man who gives 150% day in and day out to pay ever increasing insurance rates, or to find they can't afford to pay for insurance because of insurance hikes and a decrease in pay? What about those folks, Bonnie? Wait, let me guess, that's not your problem? Jesus must be so proud of you!

Ms. Wheeler,

Once again your lack of reading comprehension, paranoia, and bias amazes me! Analytical personality.....I don't understand that concept as it usually refers to a method of logic. Personality is something else. I didn't say I disagreed with any particular statement. You disagree with yourself so perhaps your "personality" leans more toward schizophrenia.

P.S. I forgot to mention that Biology is also about to get a make-over in Texas.

Creation v Evolution is also being discussed here

It's fine wolf...At this point in time, I have the majority in my corner. However, I am interested in which statement that you disagree with. I have an analytical personality and the only way that I can arrive at a correct decision is to have all the facts.

Nope, I'm not faulting for altering books every ten years as is the protocol. I'm faulting for deleting important history such as the principles and values on which this nation was founded. Quite a few young people are traveling to Texas today to protest so I'm not alone nor are my views antiquated.

I agree with Prigslayer on this one....but then again if one doesn't seek treatment one "continues down the same river in the same boat"! Get real Ms. Wheeler and if you are going to bash people for altering books, please mention those groups who in this country forced literary works from schools and public libraries and burned books as well. You have said in multiple posts that "the power should be returned to the people". Well maybe those people in Texas feel that is what they are doing. As far as altering history, take a reality pill. Have you read a textbook on American History ever? There is no mention of POW camps established in the U.S. during WWII for German servicemen, no mention of the U.S. government removing men and boys of Italian descent from homes and placing them in camps when the government was paranoid during Mussolini's reign in Italy, nor is there mention of torture of U.S. POWs of any war. Return the power to the people???? Yep, that's what contributed to the War Between the States. Oh and this nation lost more U.S. citizens during the Battle of Gettysburg than during the entire Vietnam War. There has always been propaganda in this country we can choose to call it by another name because of the association of propaganda with non-democratic governments. If it walks like a duck, sounds like a duck, then it's a duck Ms. Wheeler.

The power should be in the hands of the people, not the party.

I have just learned of another scary event. Those who are making up the text books(includes approx. 15 Liberals in Texas) are trying to delete the early history of our country. This means deleting info about our Founders and how America was established. They are specifically targeting George Washington, President Eisenhower, Veteran's day, and many others that we deem high on our priority list.

Hitler began his reign by changing the history of Germany. These people are dangerous. We must not sit by and watch it happen.

There's no doubt that we can't continue on the current course, but, the tsunami of conservitism that seems to be on it's way is just as scarry to me.

My fear is that the republicans will attempt to balance the budget by exploiting the weakest members of our society (children & seniors).

Anyone should be able to see the destruction that will come at the other end of the spectrum.

While we are on the subject of fiscal responsibility. When will the new republican congress begin to repay the money that has been borrowed over the years from the social security fund. The reason social security is in trouble today is because republicans and democrats alike in congress have borrowed it dry leaving a sea of I.O.U.s in their wake. Those who have worked hard all of their lives and faithfully paid their premiums deserve better.I haven't heard Sean Hannity or Glen Beck talking about that, have you?

Be careful america how you give any single political party all the power. We are currently suffering the results of that mistake.

It is so OBVIOUS that O'bama, Pelosi and Reid do NOT CARE about America, that it's sickening !

This SPEND now, pay later ( which can't happen) attitude they have, must be stopped !

Even a first grader understands that you can't SPEND what you don't have.

Our voice will only be heard at the polls, that is the only way to put a STOP to them and it can't come soon enough !

Obama and the democrat leadership will continue this policy of political suicide and you will see several democrats reacting the same way that rats do when they are on a sinking ship.

The writing is on the wall and the 2010 elections may very well be one of the most critical in our country's history. We can't continue going on with the spending like we have been.

Our only hope is to elect conservative republicans who understand that we need fiscal restraint. If we don't the United States as we all know it now very soon will be a thing of the past.
