Mrs. Cora Lee Blackstock, 85, of 120 West Ave., Hamlet died on Monday, March 1, 2010 at Rockingham Manor Nursing Facility.

She was born January 27, 1925, to the late Theo and Mary Ella Brown in Richmond County. She was educated in the Richmond County School System and was employed by the school system for 28 years as a cafeteria worker.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Hamlet with the Rev. Grainger C. Davis, Pastor. Burial will follow in the Mary Love Cemetery, Hamlet.

Public viewing will be held on Saturday from 1-7 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Service in Rockingham.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas G. Blackstock, Jr. of Rockingham, and Daryl L. Blackstock of Greenville, S.C.; one adopted son, Ray McLaughlin of Hamlet; two grandsons and one brother, James C. Brown of Marston
