Edna Leviner Lyerly, 85, of 108 Luther St. Rockingham, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Britthaven of Hamlet.
Mrs. Lyerly was born February 24, 1924 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Neil Archie and Beulah Greene Leviner. She attended Sweet Haven Church and was a homemaker. Her husband, John T. Lyerly preceded her in death.
Surviving are her son, Billy Ray Lyerly of Hamlet; daughter, Luann Wilkes of Rockingham; brother, Ed Leviner of Rockingham; sister, Beck Stevens of Hamlet; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Wallace, S.C. with Rev. Mitchell Roller officiating.
The family will see friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home on Luther Street.
