Larry Wayne “Fat Cat” Grant, 52, of Rockingham, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010 at his home. He was born Nov. 3, 1957 in Richmond County a son of the late, James and Lila Short Grant. Larry worked as a mechanic and truck driver by trade.

Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Rockingham with Pastor Larry Butler and Brother Thomas Rippy officiating.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Grant.

Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Susan Burns Grant of the home; children, Angel Grant Chavis of Wallace, S.C., Christopher Wayne Grant of Rockingham, and Jamie Clark of Rockingham; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 9, 2010 from 6p.m. until 8 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham.
