The filing period for the November 2010 general election begins Monday at noon.
The offices of Sheriff, Clerk of Court and four commissioner seats in Richmond County are open this year.
A seat from North Carolina in the U.S. Senate, North Carolina’s Eighth District U.S. Representative, North Carolina 25th Senatorial District and the state’s 66th House Distrcit Representative are also to be decided in the election.
The filing period will end at noon on Feb. 26.
