She was born April 20, 1934 in Richmond County to the late Tally and Mary Covington Sr.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Holly Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Carvie Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving are her husband Willie Ray Cameron of the home; eight children, Dennis Covington of Greensboro; Charles Covington, Shelia Baker, Otis Baker, Lisa Graham, Debra Blanks all of Rockingham and Cynthia Ingram of Charlotte and Salie McCrea of Wilmington; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Public viewing will be held Friday from 1-7 p.m. at McNeill Funeral Home Chapel.
McNeill Funeral Home of Rockingham is in charge of the arrangements.
