The first 50 members of the Army National Guard’s Echo Company 1/120th Heavy Brigade Combat Team were expected back at the Armory late Saturday afternoon.
Now it appears their bus will leave Fort Stewart, Ga. at about 7:30 a.m. and arrive in Hamlet sometime around 11 a.m. or noon.
The drive from Fort Stewart takes approximately three to four hours.
Family Readiness Group co-leader Ronda Jones said the soldiers are planning to drive straight through, with no stops along the way.
