Richmond County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Fayetteville man suspected in two separate shoplifting incidents at a local pawn shop.
Antonia Antwron Jenerette, 47, Bernadine Avenue, was arrested for two counts of felony larceny on Jan. 13 after the owner recognized the suspect from an earlier incident.
Identified by physical features, and also driving the same model vehicle, the owner told deputies that he followed the car as it left the store in late October, but later lost sight of the vehicle.
Deputies later found Jenerette and another suspect in the vehicle sitting at a gas station in Hamlet.
The second suspect was arrested by deputies for giving a fictitious last name and later found in possession of merchandise stolen from the pawn shop.
Jenerette was let go because the property had not been reported stolen yet.
Warrants were taken out on Jenerette.
The first time the two were suspected, the owner reported a $535 diamond bracelet stolen. The second time, nearly $4,000 in jewelry was reported stolen.
Jenerette’s bond was set at $25,000.
