McDonald was born Sept. 26, 1954 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Roosevelt and Roberta Watkins. She was a member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Alfred McDonald Jr. of Rockingham; children, Alfred McDonald III, Ashley McDonald, Billy McDonald and Marquete McDonald, all of Rockingham, and Timothy McDonald of New Haven, Conn,; sisters, Sarah Wall, Stella Smith, Elizabeth Wall and Ovella McNeil, all of Rockingham; and brothers T.C. Watkins, James Watkins, Leonard Watkins, William Watkins and Napoleon Watkins, all of Rockingham.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. at Philadelphia United Methodist Church on Friday, Jan. 8, with the Rev. Dora R. Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Philadelphia United Methodist Church Thursday, Jan. 7, from 1-7 p.m.
The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Wall, 118 Patterson Road, Rockingham.
