Two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision directly in front of Food Lion on Fayetteville Road in Rockingham at approximately 2:30 p.m. Friday. Each vehicle held only one occupant. The driver of the gold SUV was determined to be at fault for crossing the center line by officers of the Rockingham Police Department. The driver of the green vehicle entered a FirstHealth ambulance under his own power, and the driver at fault was walking around the scene and talking with police officers. Neither drivers’ injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
