FREEDOM BAPTIST CHURCH is hosting its first One Touch Movement for girls and women. This is not about denominations but about the everyday trials and tribulations facing the hearts and lives of young ladies today and the scars of those already in later years of life. Not just another meeting or program or ministry; they want to make a difference and touch the lives of young ladies and women of all ages. All ladies in Richmond County and surrounding areas from 7th grade on up to join on Dec. 12 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

NEW HOPE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1596 Hwy. 74, Hamlet, will have Rev. David Brown, associate pastor at Sweet Home Baptist Church in Camden, S.C. as their guest speaker for their morning service at 11 a.m. on Dec. 13.

FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, Rockingham, will present “Christmas Around the World” at 3 p.m. with the Sandhills Ringers hand-bell choir. The concert features music from England, France, Germany and the U.S.

PLEASANT HILL AME ZION CHURCH, Galestown Community, will have their trustees program at 3 p.m. with guest speaker Rev. C. Smith of Lovely Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Rockingham.

MARSTON BAPTIST CHURCH, U.S. 1, is hosting the Hatley Family Band at 6 p.m. The public is invited to hear the bluegrass and gospel music.

MT. PISGAH AME ZION CHURCH, 1015 Leak St., Rockingham, and their Christian Education Department will sponsor their Ships of Zion Program at 2:30 p.m.

MARSTON FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, Marston, is hosting a Pastor Aide program at 3 p.m. The speaker will be Minister Webber of First Baptist Missionary Church of Laurel Hill. Also, Mt. Calvary Church Choir and the Starlights Gospel Singers of Rockingham will be present.

PINE GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH, 275 Airport Road, Rockingham, will host the Dove Brothers in concert on Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. This will be a free concert, although donations will be accepted. For more information call 895-2254.

FAITH MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 276 Hatcher Road, Rockigham, invites everyone to worship beginning with Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m. In the 11 a.m. worship service, there will be a special guest mission speaker, Lottie Moon. The choir will render special music under the direction of Winfred Sowders. George and Sandra Long will present children’s Bible time. Fenny Williams will conduct children’s church. On Dec. 16, they will have a prayer service at 7 p.m. and Dec. 17 will have bible study at 7 p.m.

ST. LUKE #2 FWB CHURCH, 119 Morrow St., Dobbins Heights, will host Rev. Paulette Cash, pastor of Evangelistic Outreach Center in Polkton for the 100 Women in Red at 3 p.m.

SARON MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 667 Saron Church Road, Ellerbe, will have their 144th church anniversary on Dec. 13 beginning with Sunday School at 9:45 a.m., followed by worship at 11:30 a.m. Dinner will follow in the fellowship hall. Evening services will begin at 3 p.m. with Rev. Taylor of East Rockford Baptist Church in Wadesboro with his congregation and choir.

NEW HOPE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1596 Hwy. 74, Hamlet, and their Men Progressive Department will sponsor the monthly third Saturday fellowship breakfast from 8 a.m. until 110 a.m. in the fellowship hall. On Dec. 20, they will have a Church Christmas Program at the East Hamlet Community Center.

KINGDOM CONNECTION CHURCH will be feeding the homeless and less fortunate on Dec. 19 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. All are invited to come and share in the gift of giving. If you know of anyone in need bring them out to share at this time. Also on Dec. 11 at 7:30 p.m. The church will have an empowerment service. The guest speaker will be Bishop James Wiley Jr. of Shelby.

CHRIST MEMORIAL HOLY CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST, 1110 East Washington St., Rockingham, will welcome all on Dec. 19 from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. to come to a Gift Giving in remembrance of Stanley Gilbert. Seven bikes will be given away, along with other gifts. Santa will also be present.

NEW HOPE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1596 Hwy. 74, Hamlet, will bid farewell to Rev. Dr. Wade H. Gatewood on Dec. 20 during their 11 a.m. worship. He is retiring after 51 years at New Hope. Rev. Curtis Everette Gatewood will speak that morning.
