A memorial service with full Masonic Rites will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Dec. 12, in the Bobby Lammonds Memorial Chapel at Russell-Marks Funeral Home in Rockingham. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Alan was born to the late Henry and Ruth Earnhardt Goodman on Jan. 21, 1947. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was an avid member of the Hamlet Masonic Lodge #532 and the Scottish Rite. Prior to his retirement, he had worked for several years at Alpha Plastics in Hamlet. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Goodman.
He is survived by a daughter, Sarah Goodman of Newport News, Va.
