FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, 201 N. Randolph St., Rockingham, will have the adult choir present, “A Festival Carols” written by Joseph Martin and directed by Marjorie Hinson on Dec. 6 at 5 p.m. This Christmas program will include carols accompanied by brass, flute, and oboe.

MACEDONIA MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 4120 U.S. Hwy. 1, Hoffman, will celebrate their 55th Usher’s Family and Friends Day Service on Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. The opening selection will come from the Hoffman Community Choir. Guest preacher will be Rev. Michael A. Webber of Laurel Hill First Baptist Church. Refreshments will follow in the fellowship hall following the service.

BIBLEWAY HOLINESS CHURCH, 110 Bibleway Church Road, Rockingham, will help host an appreciation services honoring Elder Timothy Newton, On Dec. 5, services will conclude with a banquet to be held at the East Hamlet Community Center on Laurel Hill Street, Hamlet. The attire for the banquet is semi-formal.

SARON BAPTIST CHURCH, 123 Saron Church Road, Ellerbe, and their choir will present, “The Love of God at Christmas,” on Dec. 6 at 5 p.m. by Joel Lindsey, Sue C. Smith and Russell Mauldin.

ST. LUKE #2 FWB CHURCH, 119 Morrow Street, Dobbins Heights, is having Minister Darrell McSween for worship service on Dec. 6. Then on Dec. 13, the Pastor Aide Committee of St. Luke #2 FWB Church will sponsor a 100 Women in red. The guest speaker will be Rev. Paulette Cash of Polkton at 3 p.m.

PLEASANT HILL AME ZION CHURCH, Galestown Community, will have their trustees program on Dec. 13 at 3 p.m. with guest speaker Rev. C. Smith of Lovely Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Rockingham.

MT. PISGAH AME ZION CHURCH, 1015 Leak Street, Rockingham, and their Christian Education Department will sponsor their Ships of Zion program on Dec. 13 at 2:30 p.m.

NEW HOPE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1596 Hwy. 74, Hamlet, and their Men Progressive Department will sponsor the monthly third Saturday fellowship breakfast from 8 a.m. until 110 a.m. in the fellowship hall. On Dec. 20, they will have a Church Christmas Program at the East Hamlet Community Center.

KINGDOM CONNECTION CHURCH will be feeding the homeless and less fortunate on Dec. 19 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. All are invited to come and share in the gift of giving. If you know of anyone in need bring them out to share at this time. Also on Dec. 11 at 7:30 p.m. The church will have an empowerment service. The guest speaker will be Bishop James Wiley Jr. of Shelby.
