Around 1:45 p.m., two men entered a gas station on Hwy. 74 in Rockingham at which time one man began talking to the clerk on duty, diverting their attention.
As he spoke to the clerk about lottery tickets, the other suspect walked behind the counter and reached into the cash register and grabbed $60 in cash from the drawer.
Reports state that the clerk didn’t realize what was happening until the men were already on their way out to a dark colored Honda vehicle.
A third man was allegedly driving the car.
The man who spoke to the cashier stood about 6-foot and wore a black Oakland Raiders jacket and a white hat. The other was about 5-foot-8-inches tall and wore a red, green and yellow jacket along with glasses. He appeared to be about 50-years old.
