LAURINBURG — The St. Andrews Presbyterian College Choirs under the direction of Dr. William McConnell present Sounds of Christmas – Carols, Classics, and Catastrophes on Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Avinger Auditorium on the campus.

The free concert features the choirs performing classic music of Christmas, along with solos from various members of the ensemble. Special features will include audience sing-alongs, commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the death of Messiah composer Georg Frederic Handel and A Consort of Christmas Catastrophes by comic composer P.D.Q. Bach.

Conductor William McConnell invites all members of the ommunity to join in celebrating the season with music that makes us smile, laugh, remember, and maybe shed a tear. “This concert has become a Laurinburg tradition. The choirs look forward to helping usher in this joyous season.”
