WALLACE, S.C. — Ira Braxton "I.B." Williams Jr., 86, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009. Born in Heath Springs, SC he was a son of the late Ira Braxton and Maggie Blackmon Williams. He was a member of First Baptist Church serving as a deacon and part of the Friendship Sunday School Class. He was a World War II US Navy Veteran and a member of AmVets Post 177.  He loved the Lord. He was a loving Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather.

Surviving are his wife, Sue Lee Sims Williams of Wallace, SC, sons, I.B Williams, III and his wife Cynthia of Lincolnton, NC, Myron Williams and his wife Terri of Cheraw, SC, a daughter, Arlene W. Leviner and her husband James of Rockingham, NC, a sister, Vera W. Hickman of Heath Springs, SC, 5 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, brothers, Manley Williams, Arlen Williams, Mendel Williams and a sister, Irba Bowers.

The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, November 16, 2009 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at First Baptist Church, Cheraw, SC. Burial with military honors will be held in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.
