Richmond County Water Service will be interrupted on Monday for all county customers living pn U.S. Hwy. 1 in Hoffman and all adjacent streets, beginning at the BP Station.

Contractors will be working on the water system in different locations so not all customers will be affected concurrently. Some customers may not be affected at all.

Water will be turned off no earlier than 8 a.m. and will be restored as soon as possible. All efforts have been made to limit the time water service is interrupted, according to Community Service Director B.K. Jones III.

It is also suggested that a bathtub be filled with water during the time services are off in order to prevent the possibility of damage to water heaters. Officials also recommend turning off hot water heater circuit breakers until water service is restored. If entry panel uses fuse, simply remove the fuse.

This should complete the water service interruptions for the highway project.
