ST. MARY’S HOLINESS CHURCH, Channie McManus Drive, Hamlet, will have their Gospel Choir’s 54th Anniversary on Oct. 31 at 5 p.m. at Solid Rock Holiness Church, Arnold Avenue, Aberdeen and on Nov. 1 at St. Mary’s Holiness Church.

ST. JOHN MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, Derby, is celebrating Pastor Lindsey and First Man Eddie Lindsey Jr.’s 8th Pastoral Anniversary on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. A pre-anniversary fellowship dinner will be held at the Country Kitchen in Rockingham. On Nov. 1 at 11 a.m., pastor Lindsey’s Anniversary will begin with Assoc. Emma Ingram bringing the message. Dinner will be served after the morning worship service. At 3 p.m., minister Christopher Smith, assoc. Minister at Lovely Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Rocking will be speaking.

NEW HOPE BAPTIST CHURCH, 1596 Hwy. 74, Hamlet, will have guest speaker for the 11 a.m. service on Nov. 1, Rev. Jonathan Pittman of St. Joseph Miracle Revival Center Solid Rock Ministries of Red Springs. Also, there will be a choir anniversary at 4 p.m.

FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Hamlet, they will celebrate their homecoming on Nov. 1 with a service featuring guest minister, Bruce Taylor. The service will be followed by a dinner in the fellowship hall.

ST. STEPHEN MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH invites all to their Old Fashion Day on Nov. 1 at 2:30 p.m.

WALLACE TRUE GOSPEL EMMANUEL HOLINESS CHURCH, 2539 Grants Mill Road, Wallace, will have their revival and homecoming Nov. 1 through Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. nightly.

PEE DEE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH will observe their homecoming on Nov. 1 at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Michael Griffin will be speaking. A covered dish meal will follow in the fellowship hall.

SWEET HAVEN CHURCH will have the Eastern Sonrise Quartet on Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. at the Community Church on Mill Road. And on Nov. 4, they will have their revival ceremony with Rev. Richard Tyson bringing the message each night. There will be special music as well.

NEW DIRECTION HOUSE OF PRAYER, will have homecoming and revival services beginning on Nov. 1 with morning worship at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor, Rev. James Malloy. Afternoon services at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jack Poe and congregation of Sandy Grove Baptist church. Revival services begin on Nov. 4 and ending Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. each night.

MIRACLE TEMPLE PLUMBLINE MINISTRIES, 558 US Hwy. 1, Rockingham, invites all to a fellowship service on Nov. 1 at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Daniel Scott of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. Also, on Nov. 26 at 7:30 p.m., the church will have speaker Apostle Allan Hinnant Power of Praise Tabernacle of Deliverance of Benson as part of a 3-night Thanksgiving Service. On Nov. 27, the speaker will be Bishop Gregory Nicholson of Florence. Nov. 28 will be an Evening of Thanksgiving and Praise, featuring local choirs and singing groups.

RADICAL PRAIZ TRUE HOLINESS CHURCH OF THE APOSTOLIC FAITH, 120 McArthur Street, Hamlet, will have morning worship at 11:30 a.m. and their Hour of Power Service at 7 p.m. on Nov. 1. Host pastor is Overseer “Prophet” Will Jones.

SECOND BAPTIST CHURCH, Hamlet, welcomes Backlash Bluegrass as they lead in worship on Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. Backlash Bluegrass is a well-known local band that will be sharing bluegrass-gospel music during the evening worship hour and promises to be an inspiring and uplifting hour of praise.

FAITH MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 276 Hatcher Road, is having a Fall Festival from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. The festival includes a trunk or treat, games, candy, cake-walk, hayride and a hot dog supper. FMBC also invites all to morning worship on Nov. 1 with host pastor Lester English.

NEW HOPE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1596 Hwy. 74, Hamlet, is having their 99th Usher Anniversary Program at 3 p.m. on Nov. 1 Rev. Ricardo Leak of Ashley Chapel AME Zion Church choir and congregation will be guest. At 5 p.m. Richmond County Missionary Union will sponsor a candle light program for all missionary members.

CORDOVA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH is having their annual ingathering on Nov. 5 from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. The church will sell barbecue plates with candied yams, cole slaw, rolls and tea or coffee for $7. It will be eat-in or drive-thru. There will also be a bake and craft sale and antique desk drawing at 7 p.m.

WEST ROCKINGHAM UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 217 US Hwy. 74, will hold a Chicken ‘N Dumpling Lunch on Nov. 6. Cost is $6 a plate and will deliver five or more plates. The sale will be between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Baked goods and crafts will also be available.

MT. CALVARY ROCK OF THE AGES CHURCH, Country Home Road, Rockingham, will have their revival service beginning on Nov. 2 and runs through Nov. 5. Services begin at 7 p.m. and guest speaker will be Pastor Mike Childrers of Mt. Carmel FWB Church. There will be a guest singing each night.

FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, Hamlet, will have Richmond Senior High’s Gospel Choir Fall Explosion on Nov. 7 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

ZION UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 128 Zion Church Road, will have a homemade barbecue plate sale on Nov. 7 from 11 a.m. until. Plates are $6 each.

FRIENDSHIP MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, Hwy. 1, Dobbins Heights, will honor Rev. Dr. JL McCullers on his 8th Pastoral Anniversary on Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. Pastor Robert Dockery of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church of Hoffman will speak.

PHILADELPHIA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 157 Philadelphia Drive, Rockingham, will have their annual Fall Health Fair on Nov. 7 from 8 a.m. until noon in the church fellowship hall. Screenings will be for weight, blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol. As well as, PSA tests and flu shots. All are invited.

ROBERDELL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, will having a chicken and dumpling sale on Nov. 14 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Plates are $6. Five or more plates will be delivered. For more information, call 419-2532.

EAST ROCKINGHAM UNITED METHODIST CHURCH and their Men’s Club will sponsor a pancake breakfast on Nov. 14 from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Plates are $3. All you can eat. At the same time, there is a sweets and crafts sale.

ST. MARY’S HOLINESS CHURCH, 178 Channie McManus Drive, Hamlet, is having their annual Rainbow Tea on Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. at 119 Channie McManus Drive. The Hillian Sisters of Hamlet and Second Chance will be present.

SECOND BAPTIST CHURCH, Hamlet, Sounds of Praise, a group of eight college students from Liberty University, Lynchville, Va., will lead in a musical worship service on Nov. 8, at 6 p.m. Combining praise and worship music, Southern gospel, and testimony, these young people bring a unique and inspiring message to all who hear them.

MT. CALVARY MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 685 Ledbetter Road, Rockingham, is having a Harvest Program on Nov. 15 at 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be Mrs. Donnie Bennett (minister) of Mt. Sinani Baptist Church. Program is sponsored by the Usher Board.

PINEY GROVE CHURCH, Windblow Community, Ellerbe, the Calvary Gospel Singers will celebrate their anniversary on Nov. 15 at 2:30 p.m. Several groups are expected to render their music.

FEED THE NEED OUTREACH CENTER will have a Seed Time Harvest Time Joy Night Service on Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m. The speaker will be Evang. Tonya Cooper of To God Be the Glory International Church in Greensboro.

SPRINGHILL WESLEYAN CHURCH’s ladies are sponsoring a Fall Bazaar on Nov. 14 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. There will be a chicken and dumplings plate sale for $6, a bowl of dumplings for $3 and collard sandwiches for $3.50. There will also be a craft and baked goods sale. Eat-in or take-out.

EBENEZER MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH and their gospel choir invites all choirs and dance/priase teams to their 9th annual Choir Anniversary on Nov. 14 at 6 p.m.

ST. LUKE #2 FWB CHURCH, 119 Morrow Street, Dobbins Heights, will have Elderess Amelia Sutton preach for the 11:!5 a.m. worship service.

GREATER DIGGS CHURCH will have their Special Senior Citizen Appreciation Day on Nov. 1 at 2:30 p.m. The guest preachers will be Bishop Theadore Harrington of Full Gospel Church, Rockingham. Dinner will be served immediately following the service.
