Moore Buddies and Moore Family Connections will host a “Knowledge is Power” forum on the topic “Addiction, Substance Use and Abuse” Nov. 7 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Southern Pines.
The church’s address is 340 S. Ridge St.
“In silence it grows ... weaken this family disease with your voice,” a flier for the event urges those who plan to attend.
The guest speaker will be Emily Nicholson of Alcohol and Drug Services, and the band Teen Challenge will provide musical entertainment.
This event is free and is intended for adults and youth 12 and over.
