Ashley Marie Johnson and Brandon Lee Singletary united in marriage on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009 at SpringHill Wesleyan Church in Hamlet. The brides uncle Dan Seaborn of Michigan was the officiant.

Ashley is the daughter of Jeffrey and Donna Johnson of Hamet, the granddaughter of Larry and Mary Johnson of Hamlet, Pearl Olerud of Hamlet and Donald Olerud of Bishopville, S.C. She is a 2003 graduate of Richmond Senior High and is attending Richmond Community College majoring in Nursing. She is employed as key carrier at the Leggs Outlet in Rockingham.

Brandon is the son of Donald and Janice Singletary of Hamlet, the grandson of Paul and Jean Boyd of Hamlet, Arthur and Frances Currie of Laurel Hill, and Edna Waters of Laurel Hill. He is a 2001 graduate of Richmond Senior High and is currently employed at Tire Country of Pageland.

Tara Johnson, brides cousin of Hamlet, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brandi Moore of Hamlet, Blair Lovin of Hamlet, Erica Johnson of Hamlet, Chrissy Holt of Hamlet, and Nonnie Olerud of Gastonia, all cousins of the bride. Kaylee Singletary, the couples daughter and Aiyana Moore of Hamlet were flower girls. Donald Singletary, grooms father was Best man. Groomsmen were Scott Singletary, grooms brother of Hamlet; Dillon Johnson, brides brother of Hamlet; Jarrod Dawkins of Rockingham, Willie Pait of Hamlet, and Perry Haynes of Southern Pines. Brayden Bailey the brides son was ring bearer. Gray Bell of Virgina was soloist. Reception followed in the fellowship hall. The couple went on a honeymoon to Myrtle Beach and is making their home in Hamlet.
