The Raiders, who face Southeastern Conference foe Pinecrest Friday on the Patriots “Senior Night” in Southern Pines, received 43 points to drop down to the No. 7 spot.
This week, the Raiders were leapfrogged by Wake Forest-Rolesville. The Cougars inched up to the No. 6 slot with 44 points after they rolled past Sanderson 48-14.
West Forsyth continues to claw its way up the polls, moving up to No. 4 after being No. 5 for two weeks. The Titans grabbed 56 points following their 28-11 win over Reagan.
Butler maintained the No. 1 spot in the poll after edging Providence 35-28 last week. The Bulldogs grabbed six of the 10 first place votes and are two points in front of Independence.
The Patriots earned the remaining four first place votes and are coming off of their bye week.
Jack Britt remained No. 3 after its 42-20 victory over E.E. Smith. Jamestown Ragsdale, last week’s No. 4 team, slipped down to No. 5 this week after its bye week.
Rounding out the top 10, Winston-Salem Reynolds blanked North Davidson 14-0 to remain at No. 8, Mallard Creek crushed Hopewell 41-14 to stay at No. 9 and Greenboro Dudley cruised past Western Guilford 40-7.
