William Wallace

William Alexander Wallace Jr., 50, of 1002 Marys Grove Road, Cherryville,

died Monday, Oct. 5, 2009 at his residence.

He was born Aug. 28, 1959 in Scotland County, to Jack Wallace of Rockingham and Nancy Marsh of Cliffside. Mr. Wallace was employed by Duke Energy with 30 1/2 years of service as a control room operator.

Mr. Wallace was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Shirley and

step-father, Ray Marsh.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife of 17 years, Tammy

Walker Wallace; a son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Carla Wallace of

Boiling Springs; a daughter, Anna Marie Wallace of Greer, S.C.; a stepson,

Anthony Ferrara of Cherryville; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Ferrara of

Cherryville; a granddaughter, Emma Wallace; a brother, Terry Wallace and

wife, Kelly of Boiling Springs; a nephew, Andrew Wallace; a grandfather,

Dick Shirley of Laurel Hill; and mother and father-in-law, Bill and

Linda Walker of Cherryville.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009 at Stamey

Funeral Home, Fallston.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2009 at Stamey Funeral

Home Chapel, Fallston with Rev. Jack Waters officiating. Burial will follow

in the City Memorial Cemetery, Cherryville.
