Jennifer Pollard, Flood united in marriage

Jennifer Sue Pollard of Raleigh and Allen Patrick Flood of Garner were married on Sept. 26, 2009 at the Dolphin Ridge Club at Emerald Isle Beach.

The bride is the daughter of Gregg and Sue Pollard of Raleigh. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Linwood Pollard also of Raleigh and late Mr. and Mrs. Caswell Wheeler of Raleigh. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a degree in nursing and is employed as a registered nurse at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.

The groom is the son of Robert and Terry Flood of Hamlet. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hornaday of Hamlet, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hendricks of Laurinburg. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a degree in psychology and is now employed as a financial service officer with the State Employees Credit Union in Raleigh.

The bride was given away by her father, Gregg Pollard.

Kelly Smith of Cary was the maid of honor, Britney Knighton of Attleboro, Md, was the matron of honor and Michelle Lolley of Orlando, Fla., Peyton Pollard of Raleigh and Heather Williamson of Wilmington, were bridesmaids.

The best man was Jake Lewis of Rockingham, and Philip King of Willow Springs, Steven King of Rockingham, Jeff Moore and Brant Pollard, both of Wilmington and Brandon Yarbrough of Ellerbe were groomsmen.

The reception was held at the Dolphin Ridge Club.

The newlyweds spent their wedding trip in St. Lucia and will reside in Garner upon their return.
