The bride-elect is the daughter of Linda Hollon of Hamlet and William Hollon of Alabama. She is the granddaughter of the late Lewis and Margaret Cox and late Thomas and Lucille Hollon, all of Kentucky.
She is a 1999 graduate of Richmond Senior High School and received her associates degree in science from Richmond Community College in 2003. She is employed at Marshall Brown DDS as a medical assistant.
The groom-elect is the son of Helen Smith of Hamlet and Larry Smith of Rockingham. He is the grandson of Mary Elizabeth Pratt and the late LeRoy Pratt of Hamlet, and the late Lewis and Aleice Smith of Rockingham.
He is a 1997 graduate from Richmond Senior High School and attended Tusculum College from 1997-1999. He received basic law enforcement training in 2001 from Sandhills Community College and is now employed with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Their wedding is scheduled for 6 p.m., Oct. 17 at the East Rockingham Church of God of Prophecy.
