THE HAMLET DREAM CENTER presents the 5th annual Captain’s Choice Golf Tournament at the Loch Haven Golf Course in Hamlet. The cost is $160 per team, and sponsorship opportunities are available for $100. Tee-time is 9 a.m. shotgun start. There will be cash prizes and lunch will be served. Proceeds from the tournament will go towrad renovations to the Dream Center House which is a program designed to help men who are struggling with alcohol, drug abuse or any other life-controlling problem.

JACKSON SPRINGS COMMUNITY CLUB will hold their annual chicken and dumpling supper on Oct 31 from 6-8 p.m. at the Club House in Jackson Springs, located on Mill Road. There will be items for sale and an Auction. All monies raised help provide scholarships for deserving students in the Jackson Springs Area and other community needs.
