From 6 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, the employees at the CVS Pharmacy, located at 1206 E. Broad Ave., in Rockingham will host a yard sale and bake sale to benefit Easter Seals.

It is a company-wide effort as CVS stores nationwide raise money for the Easter Seals through their “All Kids Can” initiative.

Easter Seals is a national organization dedicated to providing services, education, outreach and advocacy for people living with autism and other disabilities so they can live, learn, work and play in their communities.

Because every store is doing its own fundraiser for the organization, the Rockingham store’s fundraising goal for the day is $200.

The yard sale will have a variety of items, and the bake sale will include 12-layer cakes, German chocolate cakes, fudge, cookies and more. From 1-3 p.m. the band Caddywampus will perform in the parking lot.

CVS has been supporting Easter Seals with these types of fundraiser for the last seven years. At the end of the fundraising drive, about 300 teams of CVS employees will convene at Freedom Park in Charlotte for a 5-mile walk, again to support Easter Seals.

For more information on the sale, contact Lisa Pressley, shift manager, at 895-2453.
