A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17 at Candor Town Cemetery.
Mr. Liles was born in Montgomery County and was co-founder of Candor Hosiery Mill serving 41 years in the hosiery industry.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Lewis Liles of the Home; sons Robert Lee Liles, III of California, William Paul Liles of Hamlet and James Lewis Liles of Troy; brothers Hnery Van Liles of Morganton and Glenn Allen Liles of Charlotte; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The family will see friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home in Candor.
