Martha and Archie Brooks
They were married in Raleigh and have made their home in Hamlet since then.
Archie Brooks is retired from the former Seaboard Airline Railroad, serving for 46 years. Both are long-standing members of First Presbyterian Church of Hamlet.
The couple are parents of two daughters, Beth Elliott of Laurinburg and Sarah Joyner of Cary and have four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
