Students, 15-years old and younger, are invited to participate in a fossil dig and view the exhibits provided by members of the N.C. Fossil Club. Students should plan on taking part in one of three fossil digs at either 10 a.m., 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. and will have the opportunity to visit the phosphate mine in Aurora. Students get to keep the fossils they find, but digs are limited to the first 100 students. Available for fees will be pizza, soft drinks, Fossil Dig T-shirts, necklaces made from fossil finds, and magnifying containers.
