Contractors get to work on Honeycutt Building

Bill Reimer of the City of Laurinburg and representatives of Richmond Community College recently held the first construction meeting for the F. Diane Honeycutt Building on the RCC Scotland Campus.

Monteith Construction of Monroe, is the general contractor. Work on the building began Aug. 14, and occupancy is scheduled for June 2010.

Beginning in August 2010, the building will house the practical nursing program, the air conditioning and heating program, continuing education occupational programs, and industry specific industrial training programs.

The building is on the corner of King and McLean Streets.
