According to Kathy Gainey, clerk of courts, during his booking and evaluation on Friday, Aaron Samory Ingram was well-behaved and civil to her and deputies present during his processing.
The majority of Ingram’s recorded violations were traffic and alcohol related, according to court documents.
Stemming from late 2002, Ingram has been in and out of Richmond County court with speeding infractions, violations for driving under the influence and reckless driving offenses and until his arrest late last week, none of his arrests were violent in nature.
In 2006, Ingram faced charges for four separate incidents in Richmond County. He plead guilty to reckless driving to endanger, found guilty of intoxication and disruption, two speeding violations and a seat belt violation, according to court records.
Ingram entered the criminal justice system for 10 days for intoxication and disruption in 2006, which was the only jail time served. He is currently being held in Central Prison on the murder charge of stabbing his 56-year-old mother to death.
Ingram’s court records show one case of a misdemeanor resisting a public officer in April of this year, but was later dropped and released on a prayer of judgment. In addition, he pled guilty in February to exceeding a safe speed.
Many of the charges Ingram faced in court resulted in court fines and restitution.
It was not until the charges currently pending against Ingram that he has been charged with any felony violent crime.
After his arrest on Friday, evidence of drug or alcohol use was not found, according to police records.
Ingram is awaiting his arraignment in Richmond County. His initial trial date is set for Sept. 24.
