The Humane Society of Richmond County has reached its limit for the number of animals it can care for.
“The shelter is absolutely full and we can not, under any circumstances, take in any more animals until Monday, Aug. 31,” Society Director Candy Bacon said. “This request applies to stray as well as owner-released animals.”
In order to encourage adoptions, the shelter is offering an adoption special of $25 today and Friday only for animals who have already had their spay/neuter surgery.
The Humane Society is located at 529 W. U.S. Highway 74 in Rockingham.
Richmond County residents are asked to call the shelter at (910) 895-0335 for more information and to make an appointment for intake.
