According to officials on the scene, a woman walked into a moving train as she crossed the tracks near Biltmore Drive about 1:30 p.m.
The woman remained conscious after impact and was still moving.
“She actually only has a few bumps and bruises,” said W.H. Smith of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman was taken by FirstHealth EMS to FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital.
