Edward Leviner, 77, of 78 Mill St. Rockingham, died Sunday, August 23, 2009 at his home.

Mr. Leviner was born April 29, 1932 in Richmond County, a son of the late Neil Archie and Beulah Greene Leviner. He had been employed with Goodwin Paper Mill and had retired from Richmond Yarns.

Surviving are his wife Myrtis McGee Leviner of the home; sons, James W. Leviner of Little River, SC, Wayne Leviner of Rockingham; daughter, Roxann Keane of Rockingham; sisters, Edna Lyerly and Vera Stevens, both of Rockingham; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sweet Haven Church with Rev. Mitchell Roller and Rev. Butch Park officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.

The family will see friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home.
