Cops collar shoplifting suspects

Rockingham police have arrested several out-of-town suspects involving shoplifting charges.

Sharee Kelly, 26, Thomas Street, Hamlet; and Akita Evette Taylor, 25, Aberdeen, were arrested on misdemeanor charges of shoplifting. Bond for each was set at $500.

Hali Danielle Mcinnis, 16, Southern Pines, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of shoplifting; and a 15-year-old juvenile was turned over to juvenile authorities. Bond for Mcinnis was set at $1,000.

Other arrests by Rockingham police include:

n Sandra Shaw Tyson, 45, Park Avenue, Rockingham, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of communicating threats. She was released on a written promise to appear in court.

n Lacey Bunch Deberry, 24, Forrest Street, Rockingham, was arrested on an order for arrest on charges of speeding and driving while license revoked. Bond was set at $500.

n Jimmy Carl Shepard, 17, Robinson Street, Rockingham, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of communicating threats and second-degree trespass. He was held in Richmond County Jail until a judge set bond.

n Jaemel Baker, 17, Steele Street, Rockingham, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of second-degree trespass. He was released on a written promise to appear in court.

n Robert Eugene Gregory, 18, Hannah Pickett Avenue, Rockingham, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of second-degree trespass. He was released on a written promise to appear in court.

n James Braddock Coleman III, 18, Hawthorne Avenue, Rockingham, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of second-degree trespass. He was released on a written promise to appear in court.

Incidents reported to Rockingham police include:

n A four-wheel vehicle valued at $4,500 was stolen from a residence on Ann Street, Rockingham.

n A victim told police a suspect stole 20 pills of her prescribed medication while she was walking at the intersection of Steele Street and Fayetteville Road, Rockingham.

n A Pinehurst woman told police someone had used her credit card information to make purchases in Rockingham amounting to $158.47.

Incidents reported to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office include:

n Someone did $5,000 damage to a heat pump at a house on U.S. 1 North, Rockingham, and $500 damage to siding in an attempt to steal the unit.

n On Mill Road, Rockingham, someone did $285 damage to a house.

n Someone threw rocks at a passing vehicle on Green Lake Road causing $600 damage to a door.

n A four-wheel vehicle valued at $5,000 was stolen from a house on Brandon Road, Hamlet.

n A utility trailer valued at $1,000 was stolen from a residence on Plantation Road, Rockingham.

n A victim at a house on Hickory Street, Rockingham, told deputies a suspect kicked and hit her.

n On Jeannie Lane, Ellerbe, someone stole a $400 television set, a $50 TV and a $100 satellite receiver.

n Thirty pills of a prescription drug were stolen from a house on Church Street, Ellerbe.

n A victim told deputies someone stole $80 out of his pocket at a house of Wiregrass Road, Rockingham.
