The guy destroyed the offending substance. He lost his investment. Nobody will be able to get hold of it. That's the goal of America's so-called war on drugs, isn't it, to keep them away from the public. Besides, if the suspect decides to keep up his trade, he'll push his luck too far sooner or later and somebody will nab him red-handed, before he can dump his stash. In the meantime, why waste our tax dollars trying to put this guy in jail when he doesn't have the stuff to sell anymore? The courts are setting dangerous people free because of overcrowding. Besides, it was marijuana, not crack cocaine or anything that's really bad news.

Mr. Landau your comment was a joke, right? I can guarantee you this is not his first "brush with the law". Flushing the evidence is not conducive with a first time offender.

Food for thought...

Only the lawless fear the law.

Think on that one.

Not to take up for anybody in the dope trade, but why do the cops have to bust somebody who's getting rid of his supply? He won't be able to sell that reefer, and he lost a whopping investment. I think it's a waste of tax money to arrest, confine and prosecute him. Perhaps this brush with the law could scare him straight and he'll figure out a legal, less nerve-wracking, way to make a buck.
