Fifteen people were injured in eight recent motor vehicle accidents in Richmond County, the N.C. Highway Patrol said.
At 11:03 p.m. on July 5 on Sandhills Game Management Road, Ellerbe, Linda Rhodes Gulledge, 59, Green Lake Road, Rockingham, was injured when her van collided with a deer in the roadway, the patrol said.
She was taken to FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital.
The 1995 Ford she was driving received $2,000 damage.

At 11:15 p.m. July 5 in Logan Park, a car driven by Tashanikki Diggs, 16, Logan Park, Rockingham, ran off the road and struck a utility pole, the patrol said.
Along with Diggs, taken to FHRMH were Jazimen Ta’Clover Hayes, 8, U.S. 220 North, Rockingham; Marrisa Allen, 8; and Ayana Ellerbe, 6, both of Logan Park.
The 1994 Toyota Diggs was driving received $3,000 damage; the utility pole, $2,500.
The patrol cited Monique Daniele Streeter, U.S. 220, Rockingham, on a charge of allowing an unauthorized person to drive a vehicle she owns.

At 3:12 p.m. July 6 on U.S. 1 at the intersection with Rushing Road north of Hoffman, two vehicles collided, the patrol said.
Taken to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital were Pamela Michelle Hamilton, 39, Monroe; and Pamela Green, 42, of Hoffman.
The driver of the other vehicle, Jimmy Johnie Brower, Rushing Road, was cited on a charge of a yield violation, the patrol said.
Brower’s 1998 GMC truck received $1,500 damage; Hamilton’s 2001 Oldsmobile, $5,000.

At 10:40 a.m. July 8 on Derby Road at Pinehurst Road, Hoffman, Corey William Byrd, 25, Boyd Lake Road, Hamlet, was injured in a collision at the intersection with a vehicle driven by Thomas Franklin Wright, Raeford, the patrol said.
Byrd was taken to FHRMH.
Byrd was cited on a charge for failure to yield the right of way at the intersection.
His 1998 Honda received $3,000 damage; Wright’s 2007 Chevrolet, $5,000.

At 7:12 p.m. July 9 on U.S. 74 Bypass at Exit 311, Tammie Ennet Rogers, 36, Carolina Beach, was injured when the car she was driving ran off the exit ramp, struck a road sign, went down an embankment, struck several trees and a barrier fence, the patrol said.
She was taken to FHRMH.
Rogers was cited by the patrol on charges of driving while impaired, driving while license revoked and careless and reckless driving.
The 1998 Volkswagen she was driving received $5,000 damage; the fence, $500; and the sign, $250.

At 11:29 a.m. July 11 on U.S. 220 and Ledbetter Street, Ellerbe, three people were injured in a collision.
Brittney Leigh Murdock, 21, Will Lane, Ellerbe; Vernon Lee McRae, 59; and Myrtle McRae, 56, both of Cartledge Creek Road, Rockingham, were all taken to FHRMH.
Murdock was cited by the patrol on charges of failing to reduce speed and failing to wear a seat belt.
The patrol said the Murdock car collided with the rear of the car driven by Vernon McRae.
Damage to the 1994 Toyota driven by Murdock was $1,800; McRae’s 2005 Dodge, $1,000.

At 11:08 a.m. July 13 on Mill Road, Sarah Elizabeth McDuffie, 20, Springdale Drive, Rockingham, was injured as was a passenger, Dustin Wiggins, 2, Springdale Drive, when the vehicle she was driving left the roadway, struck a mailbox and utility pole, the patrol said.
They were taken to FHRMH.
The 1997 Ford driven by McDuffie received $1,100 damage; the utility pole, $2,500; and the mailbox, $100.
McDuffie was cited by the patrol on charges of exceeding a safe speed and improper tires.

At 1:08 p.m. on July 13 on Boyd Lake Road, Hamlet, Tiffany Latrice Gowins, 20, Hylan Avenue, Hamlet, was injured when her car left the roadway on a curve and struck several trees, the patrol said.
She was taken to Sandhills Regional Medical Center.
Her 1996 Chevrolet received $1,200 damage.
Gowins was cited by the patrol on a charge of reckless driving.
