Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2009 in Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Talley officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 2 p.m. at the church.
Janet was born in Richmond County, NC, June 14, 1960, a daughter of the late Daniel and Edith Atkinson Gibson.
Janet graduated from Richmond Senior High School and had worked for Food Lion as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 30 years, Larry McLester of Wadesboro; her children, Larry McLester Jr. of Wadesboro, Benjamin McLester and his fiancee Timantha Crayton of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Trenton and Tyler Crayton-White, both of Wadesboro; her brothers and sister, Danny Gibson Jr. of Raleigh, Frank Gibson and wife Tammy of Ellerbe, Barbara Henson and husband Timothy of Rockingham.
Janet was preceded in death by her sister Brenda White.
