The Miss Greater Sandhills Scholarship Pageant will be held Aug. 1 at 7 p.m. at Sandhills Community College’s Owens Auditorium.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children. The Miss Greater Sandhills and Greater Sandhills Outstanding Teen programs are open to young ladies ages 13 to 24 who live, work or attend school in Lee, Moore, Scotland or Richmond County.

The pageant is a local preliminary to Miss North Carolina and Miss North Carolina’s Outstanding Teen. Miss Greater Sandhills 2009 is Lisa Mace and Greater Sandhills Outstanding Teen 2009 is Kelcie Frye. For more information contact Jan Spivey at 910-944-5997 or Kaye Fritz at 910-944-7117.
