Ruby Lee Prevatte Sanford, 68, of Rockingham died Sunday, July 12, 2009 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

She was born December 27, 1940 in Robeson County, a daughter of the late Richard Norman and Lillie Jackson Prevatte. She worked several years as CNA at Glenwood Rest Home.

She was preceded in death by a sister Estelle Payne.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 2 p.m. . at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Rockingham with Rev. Russell Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Co. Memorial Park.

Surviving her children, Wayne Parker of Myrtle Beach, SC, Billy Parker of Peachland, Jerry Parker and Lisa Saunders, both of Rockingham. Seven grandchildren. Sisters, Lucille Tyner of St. Paul and Doris Rogers of Rockingham. A brother, Earl Prevatte of St. Paul.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12-2 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home prior to the service at the funeral home.
