Four injured in traffic accidents

Four people were injured in two recent motor vehicle accidents in Richmond County, the N.C. Highway Patrol said.

At 10:14 p.m. July 3 at Ellen Road at Earl Franklin Drive, Dobbins Heights, Anthony Hugh Ward, 50, Evelyn Court, Rockingham, was injured when his car left the roadway and struck a tree, the patrol said.

He was taken to Sandhills Regional Hospital.

The 1989 Ford he was driving received $3,000 damage.

Ward was cited on charges of driving while impaired and reckless driving.

at 10:50 p.m. July 4 on N.C. 381 east of Hamlet, three people were injured when a sport utility vehicle driven by Jacqueline Diane Brown, 29, Laurinburg, left the roadway and struck a tree, the patrol said.

Brown; Christopher Gerald Taylor, 29, Laurinburg; and Jaylin Diane Brown, eight months, were all taken to SRMC.

The 1994 Chevrolet Jacqueline Brown was driving received $6,000 damage.
