Staff report
Water service in the Marston area of Richmond County will be interrupted Monday through Thursday.
It will be interrupted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, unless problems arise.
B. K. Jones III, director of community services, said every effort will be made to limit the time the service is interrupted.
Streets and roads involved include:
n U.S. 1 North between Old Coach Lane and Powers Street
n Cashion Street
n Mercer Street
n Dawkins Lane
n Latham Lane
n Stroman Road
n Tyler Lane
n Powers Street
n All side streets adjacent to the above roads
Jones suggests that a bathtub be filled to provide water during the time services are off.
In order to prevent the possibility of damage to a water heater, officials recommend the hot water heater circuit breaker be turned off until water service is restored.
If an electric service entry panel uses fuses, remove the fuse.
The interruption is necessary because of work being done by the private contractors involving the widening of U. S. 1 as a project of the N.C. Department of Transportation.
